Opening Our First Spring in Cambodia

Opening Our First Spring in Cambodia

Springway” is finally beginning its very first donation and volunteer activity.

Our first step together will be with
AFESIP Cambodia (Agir Pour les Femmes en Situation Précaire)

Partner Organization Introduction: AFESIP Cambodia

AFESIP rescued girls from sex trafficking, rape and exploitation since 1996 by Somaly Mam,
herself a victim of trafficking, to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation of children.

About AFESIP Cambodia

AFESIP Cambodia (Acting for Women in Distressing Situations) is a non-religious, non-political NGO founded in 1996 in Cambodia. It is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and reintegrating women and girls who have been victims of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and abuse.

Through its shelters, AFESIP provides safe accommodation, medical and psychological support, education, and vocational training to help survivors rebuild their lives and regain independence.

Key Programs

  • Rescue & Protection: AFESIP rescues women and girls from dangerous situations and brings them to safe shelters where they can begin their recovery.
  • Rehabilitation & Education: Residents receive counseling, healthcare, basic education, and vocational training—such as tailoring, hairdressing, or handicrafts—to develop practical skills for future livelihoods.
  • Reintegration & Empowerment: After training, women are supported with job placement, business start-up assistance, and follow-up care to help them achieve sustainable independence.
  • Prevention & Advocacy: AFESIP also raises awareness in local communities about human trafficking and collaborates with authorities to create long-term social and policy change.

Why We Chose AFESIP Cambodia

  • The mission of AFESIP—helping women and girls move from trauma to self-reliance—deeply resonates with Springway’s vision of “walking together toward a new spring.”
  • AFESIP goes beyond immediate rescue by focusing on long-term empowerment and sustainable independence, aligning perfectly with our belief in creating lasting impact.
  • With nearly three decades of experience and a strong local presence, AFESIP offers a trustworthy and impactful environment for our first international volunteer project.

Our Upcoming Collaboration

  • This volunteer initiative will involve visiting AFESIP’s centers in Cambodia, participating in on-site activities, supporting educational and vocational programs, and providing both material and financial aid.
  • We are currently coordinating schedules, volunteer participation, and donation plans, and will share detailed information with our members soon.
  • After the visit, we plan to share stories, photos, and interviews through our website, social channels, and newsletters—so everyone can see how “Springway” truly brings a new season of hope.

One small act of kindness can bring spring to someone’s life.”
Your warm interest and participation will help us make this journey of compassion meaningful.

With gratitude,

– Springway Team –
